“2020 Evening of Excellence”

Big APPLAUSE for Kansas City NARI member company, Kansas City Remodel and Handyman Allen, for winning a National CotY (Contractor of the Year) Award!

The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) announced the National CotY Award Winners and Achievement Award Winners at a virtual ceremony Friday night, April 24, streamed live via Facebook.

The CotY Awards are the highest form of recognition by industry leaders and peers. National CotY Award Winners competed in 48 categories ranging from residential and commercial, to residential landscaping.

Kansas City Remodel and Handyman Allen, located in Overland Park, Kan., received its honor in the category: Residential Addition $100,000 – $250,000.

About The Remodel

Kansas City Remodel was excited to work on a new room addition for a homeowner in Roeland Park, Kan., that included a sunroom and a second-floor master bedroom + bath. Due to problems with a previous contractor, Kansas City Remodel immediately began correcting structural issues with the existing framing. They opened up two walls in the kitchen area to give the sunroom a beautiful and open living space. Everything from the steam shower, the custom bedroom barn door, to the new wood flooring went just as planned.

“We were able to take full control of the project and do what we do best – exceed our customer’s expectations,” said Allen Deuschle, Owner of Kansas City Remodel. “We finished the job just before the homeowner delivered her second child! In the end, the homeowners were very happy and proud of their remodel.”

A panel of industry experts anonymously selected winners based on the functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, and degree of difficulty of their projects. “All of the nominees’ designs were exceptional and brought creativity and design best practices to a new level,” said NARI CEO, David R. Pekel, MCR, UDCP, CAPS. “I’m sure it was difficult for NARI’s judging panel to choose the best of the best.”

NARI members from across the United States were able to submit projects for consideration in the annual award program. NARI received more than 500 entries of remodeling projects valued at more than $138 million before selecting 196 Regional Winners and 31 Regional Team Winners in February. The National Winners were chosen from Regional CotY Winners.
