KC NARI Celebrates Top-Notch Remodeling Projects at 2021 REMY Awards
34 Projects Showcase Craftsmanship, Professionalism and Excellence in Remodeling
It was a night for celebration (in person!) at the 2021 “Remodel of the Year” Awards (AKA: REMY Awards)! The NARI REMY Awards are held annually to honor contractors for their craftsmanship, professionalism, and their commitment to excellence in remodeling.
This year’s REMY Awards gala was held at the Doubletree Hotel in Overland Park, on Thursday, March 24. The crowd was thrilled to have a Kansas City favorite, Joel Nichols back to emcee the event for the 14th year (he’s basically a remodeler now!).
Entries for the 2021 REMY Awards were judged on a 75-point system including: Project overview, before and after photos, budget considerations, overall aesthetic appeal, and communication with the homeowner. Winners must score at least 64 points. “All Star Awards” are presented to those entries that achieved 70 or more points. Remodeling contractors and design professionals from NARI of Madison and NARI of Minnesota chapters judged the entries this year.
Thirty-four local remodeling projects completed by NARI professionals were honored at the event for remarkable accomplishments and success.
Four remodeling projects received the highly coveted “BEST OF SHOW” Award. The remodeling projects were judged the best in Under $75,000, $75,000-$150,000, $150,001-$250,000 and $250,000 and over. Winners were chosen based on the total points scored.
